Are you searching for the best breakfast options in Dallas? Look no further, and read my Yolk breakfast review!
When searching for a good place to eat brunch in Dallas, the first recommendation was Yolk, at the One Arts Plaza location. From the reviews and photos posted online I was immediately sold on the idea.
The first time I tried going there was around noon on a Monday. There was a 40 minute wait for a table for two people! Rather than wait it out, I decided to come back the next day, but earlier.
That following Tuesday I went back, around 9:30 a.m., and was quickly seated at a table for three with no wait. I believe they are typically busier for brunch, so if you want to miss the crowds, show up early!
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and there are games set up outside for family fun if you end up waiting for a table. The restaurant itself is rather spacious, and is decorated with bright yellow and blue colors.
Yolk Breakfast Review
We started off ordering coffees, and some of their strawberry orange juice. They serve mimosas with orange juice, OR their strawberry orange juice!
My vanilla latte was especially good, and for anyone with a lactose intolerance, they offer dairy alternatives to pair with your breakfast (almond and oat milk)! Check out their full Dallas, TX menu here.
For my breakfast I ordered the CHICKEN n WAFFLES. It came with 4 mini waffles stuffed with bacon, and dusted with powdered sugar, a boneless chicken breast, as well as a side of sausage gravy, and a side of syrup. It also comes with an egg cooked however you’d like, but I choose not to get the egg at all.
The food tasted just as delicious as it looks here!
I never had a waffle stuffed with bacon before this experience, and it was honestly very good. I ordered the sausage gravy on the side, instead of on the chicken, but ended up topping everything with it, because it was delicious!
Overall, I would recommend Yolk to anyone looking for an interesting breakfast or brunch location. Their unique menu, and upbeat atmosphere was perfect for an early morning meal with friends or family.
